A damn Angle question

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
ok...you are right according to the answer...y the hell does it seem like 3 is a smaller angle to me...i even did the foldable ruler thing, and 3 came out small in that....i guess i am gonna fail pat.

hi,
when you do angle questions, try to find (or compare with) standard angle like 45, 90, 135
What i think is....
-angle 3 looks like 90 deg angle
-angle 1 is more than 90 deg
-angle 2 is 5 deg (app.) less than 90 deg
-angle 4 is 10 deg (app.) less than 90 deg

so answer is 4-2-3-1

another (unrelated) tip. Look for parallel edges. Use that parallel edge and compare the other edge of the angle. This type of question with parallel edge pops up occassionally (at least i've seen them in practice questions i've done so far)

what's the foldable ruler thing?
oh by the way, i got this answer correct before i see the answer.
But After I read ur complaints, I compared 2 and 3, and it was confusing.
I don't know how i got it right at the first moment, but yeah, 2 and 3 are
confusing.

I don't know exactly what tips I should give u.
the other guy said 3 looks like 90 and 2 look like 5 degre less than 90
but that doesn't help much becuz 3 is more like 88 and 2 is like 85. 1~3 degree deference is what really puts us down.

just practice more and more...-_-;

Because they tilted 3, u have to compare it with by viewing parallel to the base, and in that case, 3, at least to me, definiately looks less than 90, and i got thrown off cuz of that. I practiced a lot bro, it just doesn't help anymore. Bunch of useless crap. Wish u the best.

Hi,
I noticed something interesting...

I saved the picture on my computer, and then opened it with Windows Picture Viewer. I viewed the picture by rotating it to 90 deg, and then 180 deg.
guess what... angles look different in each view.
i don't know if it is an optical illusion or my monitor.
🙄 🙄 🙄

Tell me what u guys think the answer should be, and I'll post what I put, and what the "ace the dat" claims to be the answer. Thank you.
I don't know. But it's clear to me that 3 is much bigger than 2 (closer to 90, or right at 90). If you still can't see it, use the technique that you learned from your geometry class and duplicate angle 2 on top of angle 3. You'll see quite a difference. These questions aren't bad when you can reference to 90 or 180. I'm more concerned about question like this one .
I think getting the right answer is nearly just luck.

I'd guess 4 < 3 < 1 < 2

I was suprised I actually guessed it was right too. Has anyone taken the ADA prep test? I was pretty surprised because the angle ranking was really difficult to me, with Topscore & Kaplan I usually do pretty good. Did anyone think the same thing & for those who have taken the DAT which one of the 3 do you think is most like the real thing.
