"do women's eyes glaze over you when they find out you're not a real doctor"

"do you hear jokes about your profession 18 times a day?"

if so you may be a dentist. 😉

rofl...I laughed. Though it was a bit too long so I didn't watch the whole thing.

(I will also be laughing when I own my own practice, don't have to work Fridays, not be in school until I'm 35 (and the debt that comes along with it), and not have a boss...unlike the "real" doctors).

When I hear people say dentists aren't real doctors I want to punch them. 😀

I think this video is great. Spread it around! We all need to continue actively propagating the myth that dentistry is full of timid, depressed MD-wannabes with no self-esteem or pride in their own profession.

Otherwise, if the truth gets out, everyone and their mother is going to be applying to dental school.

Just the other day a pre-med approached me and asked if dentistry might be a better fit for him. "Oh, dentistry's great," I said, "but did you know that dentists have the highest suicide rate out of any profession?" 😉

That's actually shown to be not true.

That's already happened as well. It started occurring around a couple years ago actually. Dental saturation in urban areas is going to go through the roof. It's already happening in big cities with dental schools.
