Lately, I have been interested in learning more about neurology. I had a clinical neurology course but the professor seemed like he lost all interest in teaching. He was approaching retirement very quickly and pretty much spent every lecture talking about his plans once he gets out of academia. I know a lot about the boat he was planning on buying and where he wants to go scuba diving but my knowledge of neurology is quite poor.
So I have been looking for a good text or resource to learn more about neurologic conditions, however, I haven't had very good luck. I have found ones that are extremely complicated, like they spend 800 pages talking about carpal tunnel (maybe a bit of an exaggeration) or ones that are extremely simple, where they seem to spend most of the time going over basic neuroanatomy.
Does anyone have any good books or resources on neurology that would be designed mostly as for a general practitioner level? I doubt I will ever be a neurologist but I would like to be able to at least recognize some common neurologic conditions if they walk through my door.
