A heart-wrenching blog post about an OHSU grad who can't match.

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I think that's a bit too broad. She is clearly a very good writer.

Some people were just taught/conditioned deal with problems poorly.
Assessing quality of writing is already extremely subjective. And even if so, I have met so many people that write for blogs/news sites/local papers that can clearly put together a thoughtful piece. However, when you try and speak to them about something and they can't edit their thoughts for hours before presenting their opinions and arguments, it comes out a whirlwind of incoherent babble. The jury is still very much out on this woman's intelligence.

Poor people become nurses -> Better life? This logic makes sense. Totally.

*hides from all nurses brigade*

Yeah, that part made me raise my eyebrows. If only people from the top 15% earners have kids that become doctors, I wouldn't be here. Yay for spitting on statistics!

Jerome Groopman made a similar comment once in one of his earlier books that we were required to read back in med school. It really made me 😕
