The school I am specifically referring to has most likely finished its deliberation of me.

I haven't heard back an accept/reject yet, but I heard that the school has looked through most all of its applicants.
I was wondering, would a letter of intent change anything at this point?

Usually after you've been reviewed is when it makes the most difference.

For schools that will accept LOIs (some trash them) they will usually rereview your whole file when you send the LOI.

So now is a good time.

imho, letters of intent are not appropriate unless you have interviewed at a school and are willing to commit to going there if accepted. How could you make such a commitment about a school you have never seen?

Letters of update/interest can't hurt though.
