So, I applied this past cycle and was ultimately waitlisted at UCI, Albert Einstein, and Wright State. What do you guys think I should do at this point? Should I prepare to re-apply? I am from cali with a 3.8/3.7 and a 29Q (32Q in multiple sittings). Any advice is appreciated!

I don't know about the other 2 schools (I didn't apply to them), but you still have a shot with UCI! I think they said they give out more acceptances after May 15 than before. Be sure to send an email in May letting them you're still interested!

I have similar stats as you, good luck! :luck:

Thanks! That is def a little bit reassuring! ... So should I wait until May 15th before starting on my app for next year then?

You should always prepare for the worst. Worst case scenario is that you don't get in to any of them, in which case you will need to apply again. Couldn't hurt to get started now just in case.

Yeah, I would prepare just in case, but don't lose hope for this cycle!!!

theMan2012, do you have an idea of what your weakness(es) were?

+1. Your GPA is great, so maybe it was a lack of ECs or interview skills? If you're planning to re-apply this summer, I'd consider thinking about how much you've improved in one year. Maybe spend this upcoming year working out those weaknesses to make you a stronger applicant for the Class of 2017 cycle.

i think my EC's are good and so are my LOR's. I have 3 years of research with poster presentations etc., and 3 years of volunteering, leadership, etc. and I always thought my interview skills weren't bad.. so i really dont know

Dang, sorry to hear you haven't had the best luck this cycle. Hope you get off one of those waitlists!
