Hello everyone...
Quick question..I just read this:
  1. Take your MCAT exam early
Again, the key word here is “early.” Your application will not be reviewed until your pending MCAT scores are in so, if you have worked hard to submit your AMCAS application in June, don’t negate this effort by taking an August MCAT.
I'm taking the MCAT on May 22nd, so I should be getting my results by the final week of June. Supposing I have everything ready in my application by then, does that mean that no schools would see my application until the first weeks of July and that I will not be getting any secondaries until then?. Is that considered late? I will have a ~3.5 gpa so I really need to apply early.
I already enrolled for a Kaplan course from January 30th to May 1st. I finish my semester on May 1st so the best schedule for me is taking the MCAT on the 22nd.
What do you guys think? Would those dates still be considered early??
THaaanks 🙂
PS: pleeeeeeeeease don't move it to the MCAT forum if possible. I wouldn't get as many responses in there. Thanks

Probably not going to hurt too much. They won't look at your app until July but interviews won't come out that early anyway. I think you'll be okay. Bring up that GPA though and it'll help quite a bit. The 3.5 will hold you back more than the 1 month "tardiness" which is still actually quite early. Also, kill that MCAT so there aren't any questions about your ability based on your somewhat low GPA.

Don't worry about it. It works best for you to take it on May 22nd since you'll be well prepared, and it's still reasonably early. What's more, you can submit your AMCAS and have it verified while waiting.
