Hi,
I just found this site again after 3 years (wish I had stuck to it before I took my step 1 since there seems to be a lot of great info here). I was wondering if I could get some pointers on what to do with my situation. I'm sorry if this is not in the correct forum but I'm not really sure where else to post it.
Situation:
1) I study at Jagiellonian University Medical School in Poland (came here pretty much out of high school due to wanting to be close to family). I currently just began my 5th year of a 6 year program.
2) Got a 233/94 on step 1
3) ranked number 1 in class (GPA of 4.55 out of 5)
4) I'm really interested in Anesthesiology
I was just wondering what could help my chances of getting an anesthesiology residency spot besides doing US rotations and getting LORs from American anesthesiologists?
Also, does it hurt my chances coming from a 6 year program and is my step good enough considering I'm an IMG?
