As a student, I tend to agree with JPP, Military, etc. If anyone has something that constructively contributes to and enhances the discussion, then by all means post away. However, this repetitive "we are as good as you and cheaper" or "our experience teaches us enough background to do anything" gets old. As a student I would have liked to learn more about the interactions that AA's, CRNA's and MD's have as they all have a role and place and none will go away as well as the boundaries each has in their profession. However, anytime anyone asks, no matter how it is asked, someone gets their panties in a wad. "A well-trained ICU nurse can do that" or "anesthesia is so easy, there is no need for an MD". If it seems that simple, then the intracacies are sadly missing from your background. Just because you can fly a Cessna doesn't mean you can fly the Raptor (and there better not be some smart@ss out there that says something stupid about "flying lessons in the forum" or something equally inane). Because of this attitude my education has suffered as I cannot hope to get any views of the system from other areas of the country and must rely on viewing at my home institution (and assume it works the same everywhere). Yes, some students' questions may seem ridiculous or, possibly, offensive but the question is being asked for the purpose of enlightenment. No one here came out of their mother's bottom knowing the answers, everyone started at the same place. The question can answered in a tactful way. JWK never (that I can remember) takes offense to incorrect perceptions about his work, consequently, unless you have a lack of self-esteem or have an inferiority complex, you shouldn't take offense either. The MD's that post here have been nothing but respectful to everyone (and I mean to everyone unless the poster was rude enough to get booted) until teh past two days. Some of us truly value their advice and need their advice. We can only hope that they will continue to post and not leave the forum.

And another thing, anyone not intelligent enough to recognize metaphor, simile, cliche, and other common parts of human language really shouldn't have human lives depend on them.

Arent you just a med student maybe you are in practice but thought you said earlier you were a med student. Dude you may not even have grades to even go into the field so please spare me. If you are just a med student then your knowledege of anesthesia is very poor at best so please step down boy.

This is a public forum last time I checked, that allows anyone to post here as long as they follow the rules. If this forum were not open to the public then I would not be able to access it, nor be able to post. Just get one thing straight. No one is trasspassing on anyones forum. This forum is here for me to use as much as it is for you to use. I will use it whenever i want without even thinking twice.

I know doctors are medically and even some scientifically smart or intelligent, but street smart and socially smart you guys are not. JPP and Lyspro your post sound so childish, its actually pretty funny to know that a director of anesthesia of a group or institution that them themselves flaunt to the public would stoop that low and speak, argue or debate (what ever we are doing) in such an ignorant, unprofessional almost desperate tones. Come on now JPP grow up and step up to the level of the position that you hold.

nitecap, at this point I will step in and say the following:
1) you are a troll
2) you are brain dead
3) we know you are brain dead, but can u make SOME kind of effort to answer the question "why are you here?" it's understood that you CAN be here, JPP asked WHY WHY WHY you are here you TROLL
4) even when your jealous, pathetic ass tries to sound smart, or eloquent, or whatever you call the above posted garbage you wrote, you still sound like a child TRYING to speak like an adult.
5) your defense mechanism in the above post was to put yourself above JPP et al by arguing how you are more street smart and socially smart. i am LAUGHING at that comment since it's so obvious it's the only card you could possibly pull at this moment to convince someone that you're better than these people in "some way". "please believe me i AM better than them" oh come on, it's assumed everyone's equal, you don't have to make such CHILDISH comments. i had given you respect through benefit of doubt, as I do everyone. But you've shown that you dont deserve respect, as you are yet a mental child. you my friend, need to self-actualize. you need to recognize when you're projecting, and stop doing it. You need to step back, look at yourself, realize you're important too, and stop arguing that you are, which makes you look like a *****. but until you do that, that is just what you will be.
also, dont go telling anyone "back down boy" in order to make yourself feel powerful. it only shows the people paying attention, how truly weak YOU ARE.
7) STEP OFF this forum if you're going to be militant. If I were against people who loved whales, I wouldn't go on a whale lover forum and chat it up with them. SO **** OFF you huge dike!
