OH NO.....
My computer messed me up!!!! It has been lagging on me for a while because I am running out of RAMS. So yesterday when I was doing my FINAL check up for my personal statement for errors one last time before sending it out. It's done, I made all the corrections with two engilsh tutors already and I was just reading over it to make sure everything is perfect.

Just when I got done with it and was ready to copy and paste onto AADSAS, it lagged on me again and kinda freezed for couple seconds. Because it's happened so often lately, I was getting a little frustrated. So I kinda got mad and hit the keyboard and randomly clicked my mouse couple times, NOTHING seems to be moving on my screen besides the arrow is moving at like...0.00001 MPH. So I left my room to go get a glass of water. After I came back and sent out my application, I clicked on the X button on word to close my personal statement. All of a sudden, I saw the WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAVE THE CHANGES YOU MADE screen popped up. So....I was like WHAT!! what changes!!! I went back and looked over everything I wrote and I finally saw it.....I deleted the ' on other's lives, so now it's others lives. What should I do??? I mean i used others' lives twice in my personal statement and the 1st one is still right, the later one just made me look like a fool who's not careful with my "others lives."

I've always heard how grammatical errors could dramatically hurt one's chances of getting an interview. I did make 2 mistakes on my application last year but those weren't on my personal statement. I still manage to receive 3 interviews. I think the situation is slightly different because the error is made on my personal statement. Should I call the schools or what do you guys suggest???

Try calling AADSAS. Maybe they will open the application for you again and you can edit and resubmit without any penalty.

you're toast, might as well start getting your application for next cycle ready

Well I interviewd for an alternate spot and got onto the waitlist at my #1 choice UOP. According to the past history of UOP's waitlisters, I have a pretty decent chance of being accepted the following cycle. I talked to a lot of people before making that decision of declining my acceptance. Believe me, it was not easy but I think UOP is worth the gamble. I also want to use this year off to rehab my back. it's been bothering me a lot these last 2 years. I can't really sit up staight for too long. The only things I can do is to NOT PLAY basketball anymore and strengthen those two spinal joints I injured from playing basketball.

to be honest, i would say just leave it. I doubt someone will catch it because they are reading so many essays and reading them quickly. if it were me reading it, i would just think "oops, slight typo". as long as the rest of your essay is great, one little error won't cost you. thats what i think

btw, where did you do your postbacc? im surprised you got rejected from all those schools with your gpa whcih is pretty decent isnt it? that makes me scared now for myself :[

Oh you see, that's where I'll have to come and explain myself so you guys won't be scared. I took my DAT last year in late aug and only got a 17 the first time. with 15 RC and 16 in BIO and QR. I retook it and got a 20 in lave Nov. By the time I retook it, I alrady got like 14 rejection letters. So when people say APPLY EARLY, I didn't get a chance to do that beause my file was not officially completed until Early January really...so my stats don't really tell the whole story behind my application cycle last year. To answer your question, post bacc, I only took 2 classes at my University so don't be so awwed by that mistakingly impressive 4.0.
