OH NO.....
My computer messed me up!!!! It has been lagging on me for a while because I am running out of RAMS. So yesterday when I was doing my FINAL check up for my personal statement for errors one last time before sending it out. It's done, I made all the corrections with two engilsh tutors already and I was just reading over it to make sure everything is perfect.
Just when I got done with it and was ready to copy and paste onto AADSAS, it lagged on me again and kinda freezed for couple seconds. Because it's happened so often lately, I was getting a little frustrated. So I kinda got mad and hit the keyboard and randomly clicked my mouse couple times, NOTHING seems to be moving on my screen besides the arrow is moving at like...0.00001 MPH. So I left my room to go get a glass of water. After I came back and sent out my application, I clicked on the X button on word to close my personal statement. All of a sudden, I saw the WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAVE THE CHANGES YOU MADE screen popped up. So....I was like WHAT!! what changes!!! I went back and looked over everything I wrote and I finally saw it.....I deleted the ' on other's lives, so now it's others lives. What should I do??? I mean i used others' lives twice in my personal statement and the 1st one is still right, the later one just made me look like a fool who's not careful with my "others lives."
I've always heard how grammatical errors could dramatically hurt one's chances of getting an interview. I did make 2 mistakes on my application last year but those weren't on my personal statement. I still manage to receive 3 interviews. I think the situation is slightly different because the error is made on my personal statement. Should I call the schools or what do you guys suggest???
