Guys I feel that 2013 exams are underestimating more than the previous year exams and we got lower scores compared to our performance if we entered exams in the last year
I got average score in my step 1 exam which was lower than my last nbme ?

Am I the only one who feels that ??

I am sorry that is the case Zico. However, there are 101 variables as to why test day can be different from an NBME. I think it best for everyone on this board not to overthink the Step1's "changing of the guard" if that is even the case. Unless time travel is a possibility there is nothing you can do about it but put in the work and hope for the best.

my exam score was lower by 17 marks than my last nbme !!!!

You're not the only one this has happened to, and you certainly won't be the last. Exam day is a different beast all together. There's no real way to simulate that environment, and the question draw is also very unpredictable. I had a close friend who scored significantly lower than his last NBME as well. I would have died happy with his score, but he was thoroughly disappointed due to the NBME estimations.

It's just how this exam is. As Goober said, its better to just go in prepared for the worst and hope for the best.
