Hi
Sorry if this is not the right place to send this. My pharmacology professor has given us a question and has asked us to write a paper about it:
The question is as follows: X has been known as a very effective drug for curing a disease but testing it on healthy animal and human subjects has shown us that it has a very low plasma concentration(I mean the AUC). Please explain the possible reasons.

As I have to write a full paper about the possible reasons I would appreciate it if you could help me with the answer or put me in the right direction.

didn't you touch on basic topics in class? surely the textbook has some idea lol we're not here to do your homework

How do you know if they mean low AUC and not low Cp or both?

@crazybob: The teacher mentioned low AUC.
@rxlea: I have taken this course for only 2 weeks so don't know much about the basics and the school's library is closed for a few days.

This question seems a little bit vague for me. The only thing I can think of is that the drug is water soluble but the answer shouldn't be that simple if it's gonna be a paper.

Dude, do your own homework...:lock:

While there are many resources on the web for assistance in homework, this forum is not meant for that purpose. I'm sure many users wouldn't mind helping, but many more don't want the forum clogged with homework help threads.
