I looked up NYU dental school... and up top I see stats like..

GPA overall 3.29 GPA Science 3.16
but down below (in the interview section) I see...
Avg GPA / SCI: 3.56 / 3.55

Now, from what I gather, That is the average of the people on this site that were granted an interview, correct?

Which should I take as a more accurate number of what I need to get into a school??

the numbers up top are the averages for the matriculating class given by the ADEA report from the previous year

the numbers on the bottom are from individuals that have made an account with "predents.com" and have decided to post that they got interviews, accepted, etc.. from the year in the upper left hand corner in the dropdown box.

the avg listed at the top refer to 2 cycles ago, the last published data. The numbers for last year are higher. (Ex. Temple's listed avg is 18.8, while it's 19.1 for the last entering class. UCSF has 20.6 published, but it's 22 for last year.)
