A Question of DO MATCH (Anesthesiology)

Not so many DO grads match to Anesthesiology, but I think the success rate is almost the same with MD's.
1) Is it because of less DO students interested in Anesthesiology compare to MD students?
2) Are most of DO student prefer FM IM Peds Ob EM, instead of other specialty like PMR Anesthesiology and etc. ?
I'm just curious. Appreciate your answer!

There’s like 3x as many MD grads as DO grads, the interest level is about the same, the DO match rate for anesthesia was ~79% and for US MD was 88%. Over 300 DO’s entered anesthesia in the 2020 match.. Go look at the charting outcomes.
