Relax, you can't even file until January at the very earliest, and most people do it after their taxes are done. Haven't you ever filed a FAFSA before as an undergrad? Sometimes I forget that some people are a lot more well off than I was and did not have to pay for undergraduate college.

I'd just like to clarify one point. Some people haven't filled out a FAFSA before because of scholarships...not necessarily because they are more well off....

What did I do? 😕 Anyway, quit with the name calling and grow up...sticks and stones.......

To try and answer the OP...
Starting January (the sooner you file the better) we will have to fill out the FASFA form. As I remember from my applications to undergrad, you apply for aid to all the schools you are still waiting on. The gov will then make a financial aid packet for each of the schools and you will get the aid for the school accepted to (with all fingers crossed).
As an undergrad, I applied to UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Santa Cruz with my FASFA form. I was accepted to all three and had a financial aid package for each. I choose UCSC and received the aid within the first few weeks of class.
-Good luck with your form...
btw this question is best asked in the Financial Aid Forum

Fill out FAFSA January 1st or as soon after as possible. The absolute latest you should fill it out is March or April.
You don't have to have your tax info---make estimates, go back and edit the corrections later as needed.
The FAFSA does ask what school you are attending, but that can be changed later as well.
thanks all for your help. i will forget about the FAFSA for a while 😀
