I just bought a Littmann Cardiology III and I have converted the "pediatric side" to a traditional bell.
My question is "Is there a tiny diaphragm separating the chamber of the bell and the conducting tube, or they are directly connected?"
When I look at the tiny hole in the bell, there's light reflection, which can possibly indicate the presence of a tiny transparent diaphragm.
My main concern is that, if there's no such a little diaphragm, dusts or even water can get into the conducting tube, and they will be virtually impossible to be cleaned off. It may cause severe damage to the device or greatly impair the quality of the sound.
Thank you!
