One of the biggest things I believe that helped me (ultimately) become fairly successful on the PCAT was taking it as many times as I could. Remember, as much as it costs, still--money is not an option. It wont be when you get into pharmacy school, trust me!

Take it whenever you can, even if you haven't had all of the material that's on it yet. Just focus on what you DO know. I took it five times and over that course of time my scores went from 33 to 74, going up about 10 points each time.

Also, by taking it multiple times, it helps you realize what you need to truly STUDY and what you will naturally do well in. Best of luck! 🙂

That was my thinking... but about a month ago people were disagreeing with me and saying that it was not a good idea to take the PCAT as many times as possible. I totally disagreed with them but there were like 5 people that were against me. I think that is some good advice that you are givin, especially for people who arent good at standardized test(people like myself). So I agree, but I there were a ton who disagreed with me about a month earlier.

If you take the PCAT 3 times and suck it up twice and make in the 90s the third time. I seriously doubt that the pharmacy school is going to care. So what if you took it 3 times? If you have a score in the 90th percentile I wouldnt think it would matter how many times it took. (within reason)

It doesn't matter with MOST schools how many times you take the test. Possibly all schools, but I don't know about all schools to know that. They just look at your top score.

From page 14 of the Candidate Information Booklet,
(http://harcourtassessment.com/hai/Images/dotCom/pcatweb.info/pcat0506_cib.pdf):
"Approximately four to five weeks following the date of testing, you will be sent your personal Score Report, and the institutions to which you requested your scores be reported will be sent Official Transcripts...Any other PCAT scores you have earned during the previous five years also will be reported on your Official Transcripts, unless you selected the No Score Option. Scores more than five years old will not be reported."
