Part of the reason is that I'm also the primary caretaker for my grandparents (health scares these past few months), so I'm taking them to doctor's appointments, translating for them, etc. Is this okay to mention as well? I just don't want to come off as making excuses because I'm not, but at the same time I know it's not professional and are overused.

Excuses for what? I think most schools just want to know how you are using your time. Taking care of grandparents is a very good use of time.

I haven't worked since graduation (mid-May) just because I went all in on my MCAT (taken 5/31) and application (also took a little vacation for a few days :/ ).

After getting my MCAT score back a few weeks ago, I'm currently in the middle of applying to tutoring jobs and general hospital jobs, and think I have a good chance at getting a mcat tutoring job at a certain big-ish name company. Problem is, their timeline is reallllly slow and I would probably be starting after my secondaries would be submitted (if I don't get any tutoring job then for sure a hospital job but point is it will be by end of August). In the meantime, I've also been volunteering at a soup kitchen.

I'll be verified soon, and if I get a secondary asking for what I've been doing, is it bad to say "I'm still applying to get a job but I've almost finalized one. In the meantime, I've been volunteering etc." I know a lot of people have jobs already but I really wanted to get a tutoring job (for the higher pay and to further my ability to teach science).
Not a problem.
