I am asking for a dear friend.

Is it too late to apply in the Anesthesiology Assistant Cycle? I think they're a stellar applicant, but they just don't have to shadow for anesthesiology (but have family in the medical field so can probably figure something out).

When does it get bad to apply? They have competitive stats, 2 years of research, 400 hours CNA, 200 hours in a shadowing program following doctors and PAs.

One would probably have to check out whatever program they want to apply to and see what the application deadline is. . .

The deadline is February for the program within our state. You do realize professional programs are generally rolling basis?

Have they had the opportunity to shadow an anesthesiologist assistant? Right now is definitely not too late depending on which program they are applying to. If they are strong in all aspects, even applying as late as they can won't matter if they rock the interview. Although, the earlier the better due to the rolling admissions process most schools use.
