AACOMAS application questions

I am just a wee bit paranoid and want to make sure I've got all my ducks in a row for this application thing. If anyone can help me with the following questions about the process I would appreciate it:

1, I selected and released my MCAT scores yesterday to AACOM. Today it says that the status is "complete", yet I don't see my scores on the AACOM application status summary page. In other words, how do I know that AACOMAS got my scores?

2, How do they process the applications? I assume they would do them in order of date recieved.

3, Do they show us a gpa? And do they allow us to check over things before they send it to the schools?

4, Do they send a paper copy to the schools or is it an electronic transmission?

I wish they had more specifics on their site about how these things work, but I can't seem to find out.

I'm in the same boat as you are with the MCAT scores, so I can't help you there..but I do know that they show you a breakdown of your GPA after they process your application. It took about a week for mine to come up. I think they send the schools an electronic application (which is what tells you your GPA) and then they mail them your complete application. I wasn't able to change anything once I pressed submit, so I doubt you can change anything before they send it to schools...but I can be wrong. 🙂 I hope that helps. Goodluck!!

how long did it take for your status to be come complete after you sent your transcripts? i submitted my application like 10 days ago and i had my transcripts sent about 2 weeks ago, both for AACOMAS and AMCAS from 3 different schools. i've gotten transcript receipt confirmations for all 3 from AMCAS, but my summary page on AACOMAS still says "not yet received". just curious as to what the turn around time is for them to process transcripts.

I submitted my application on the 1st and had my transcript sent from MI on the 2nd. They confirmed my transcript recieved on the 7th. I am still wondering if they got my mcat scores. They were released yesterday but it still says "none on record" on the AACOMAS site. I will have to assume everything is going ok. Has anyone had their profile finished and sent to schools yet? I was told by my MSUCOM advisor to get mine in as early as possible. She said not to even wait for mcat scores and that applications sent in July may even be too late. So that is why I hope they get mine done soon!

randomly just 30min after i started wondering about it, my transcript status suddenly changed and 2 of my 3 have now been received.

I submitted on June 2nd (I had my transcripts sent at the end of may), and my transcripts were confirmed on the 4th while my application wasn't processed until the 9th. So it took about a week for me.

I wonder if I should call them, they got yours sent to the schools just a few days after confirmation of transcripts? Mine were confirmed on the 7th, but haven't been sent yet. Hard to relax after what the MSU admissions officer told me! Anyone else in the same nervous boat or have some calming wisdom to offer?

I'm just finishing my app with AAMCOMAS. I called MSUCOM today and set up an advising appt for later in the month. They also told me to apply ASAP. I'm shooting for tomorrow afternoon...
