Just curious, after submitting all my secondaries and being placed under review, can I edit the primary application? There are some stuff I want to add to it, especially since nycom only looks at primary for interview decisions.

Also at the end of this semster, am I allowed to send AACOMAS an updated school transcript or not?

When i spoke to aacomas a while ago they said that everytime u update they send a new copy to the school. Your best bet is to probably just give them a call i found them pretty helpful 🙂

Actually, I just attempted to edit my aacomas application. I wanted to add more EC stuff, and no matter what section I go to, there is no option to edit anything. I guess at some point you no longer can edit it.

My problem is I want to add shadowing DO experience, but for nycom, they have no way of knowing this, unless they actually will look at my DO LOR, which I know they do not do until your at interview. Well guess I'm out of luck. Man this waiting is harder than I thought, hope someone gives me interview, I wanna get new suit.

You should send an update letter.

I think you can email them the edits to AACOMAS. That is what I did. When you finish more classes, you should send a new transcript to AACOMAS. They send the changes to the schools. BTW, I don't think anyone at my NYCOM interview was asked about why they were applying DO. One person was even told that 90% of their graduates actually practice allopathic medicine in the end. So, I don't think they are one of the really hard-core DO schools. They do have a great OMM lab and they do teach the DO philosphy, but I don't know how big a deal the DO shadowing will be. One of the women who interviewed with me only had a MD letter. GOOD LUCK!!! :luck:
