For anyone who needs help understanding AACOMAS application cycles and matriculation dates, the key thing to remember is that applications open in May and run through April of the following year. The matriculation date always falls within the SAME year that the application cycle closes, which sometimes isn't clear.
With different schools having different deadlines and rolling admissions, it’s easy to overthink the process, especially if you’re a non-traditional/older student without a pre-med advisor to clarify the process. I hope this helps someone who is an overthinker like me!
