Hello, like many of you I have seen that AACOMAS has extended their deadline to 6/13 for this cycle with some schools already following suit.
Does anyone know what they are doing this?
Also what does that mean for applications who have not yet applied?
I am on the waitlist for two allopathic medical schools and I didn’t apply DO due to being scared (saw a lot of horror stories right when I wanted to apply) and wanting to save money lol. I have my scores and LORs already uploaded so I really only need to press submit, is this this a viable option or would I essentially be applying for another waitlist position?
For reference I was going to apply to Lake Erie Bradenton and Lincoln Memorial, both of which still seem to be actively sending out II.
I understand that it is a extremely late, I’m just hoping to start medical school in the fall, I have already taken two gap years and literally everyone in my life knows that I applied this cycle (stupid I know).
