Does AACOMAS send out an email letting you know that your application has been verified? I've been checking the site daily and I've noticed that the changes in the transcript status are lagging (i.e. it finally updated my last transcript as being received yesterday, but the date was 8/8) so I was just wondering if they will send an email letting you know your application has been processed or do you have to keep checking the application status website.
THanks

If I remember correctly, AACOMAS will only email you once your primary applications have been dispatched to your designated schools. It is faster if you check your application status page than waiting for an email.

Assuming that it works....

My application was verified on 8/10. I thought they would atleast send me an email or something. I clicked on my profile on the webpage and i had saw that it was finally updated

Hi! I'm new..and had a question about the verification process...
how long did it take for you to have it verified...i submitted it on 8/6...just wondering if it takes a long time or if it goes by pretty quickly.
Thanks! 🙂

I submitted on 7/28, my last transcript showed up on 8/8 and my profile was just updated today that my application was processed yesterday (8/17). So it took me 9 days from the time my last transcript arrived to my app. being sent to schools

Hey guys,
I just got my verification e-mail and it says my application will be released to the colleges I chose. However, I haven't even added my personal statement nor have I paid or clicked submit. Does this mean the schools are getting an incomplete application from me? :scared:

I have no idea what that means, but I got the same email. That's very odd that you didn't submit or pay, and you still got verified. If you haven't submitted, there aren't even any schools for the application service to offer your application to.

Why do threads get merged with threads that are 5 years old, instead of the 5 year old thread just being purged? Especially when the two threads aren't really even the same subject?

Because idiots come on these boards everyday and ask a question that has been asked 100 other times so they merge it with a thread that probably already has the question answered. You have like 700 posts, im sure u have read the same questions over and over lol

If people werent so lazy and useless, they would use the search button... Lets hope that day comes:xf:

BTW i used to be one of those people, im not perfect. But I found the search button and its a powerful tool

I somewhat agree. However, the search function can be unwieldy, the responses to a bumped thread slow, very often the question is not worded just the same way as the poster's when they find a similar old thread and not everyone has time to comb through old threads on the chance that they MIGHT find their question answered (especially when it takes so little time to answer a question that's asked most of the time). And is it really that hard to just answer the question, even if it is a repeat? It seems that there are some search function Nazis that just won't rest until they've told someone to use it. A lot of times they don't even answer the question of the OP, which seems to be wasting everyone's time.

Ya it definitely doesnt take long to answer a repeated question and i totally agree the search isnt 100% useful. I usually just click on threads and skim through rather then search, but sometimes i search

I was more speaking on behalf of the mod's who have the power to merge threads. They are the ones who have seen the question 100s of times etc and have to keep the forums somewhat organized.
