So for AACOMAS, how much is the fee after the initial 3 schools? I have 4 schools on my list. Would it cost the amount of only applying to 1 school (which is $195), or for each additional ($35)?

Tbh I can't remember. When you pick your schools on AACOMAS it will tell you what the total is, before you pay obviously.

The real benefit of the fee waiver is with secondaries. Most (but not all) schools will waive your secondary fee if you have an AACOMAS fee waiver. Saved me a huge amount of money.

Ah, now I remember...I got waitlisted for the funds so I just went ahead and submitted my 5 schools. But--it did save me money on secondaries (NYIT, Touro-CA, and Western all waived it!).

According to the website: "If you receive a fee waiver, you may apply it to a maximum of three osteopathic colleges. If you receive a waiver, but wish to apply to more than three colleges, beginning with the fourth designation, you must pay the standard application fee. For example, to apply to one additional college (four total), you must pay the standard AACOMAS fee for one college; to apply to two additional colleges (five total), you must pay the standard fee for two colleges."

It's still a bit unclear, though.

So basically the waiver will cover the AACOMAS fee of $195, and the first 3 schools primary cost of $35. So you will pay a grand total of 35 dollars if you got the waiver and are applying to 4 schools.
This. Also make sure to check with each school as to their policy with waiving the secondaries. I know with western you pay the fee and then they refund it like 2-3 weeks later, and some you have to ask and be approved prior to submitting the secondary, while others don't grant waivers for the secondary. Good luck.

Exactly, secondaries are a whole other ball game.
