AACOMAS Letter of Rec Updates after sumbitting primary app?

Does anybody know if you can update your primary AACOMAS app with a letter after it has been sent. I want to send it as soon as possible but am still waiting on a prof to write a letter. Can I just submit the primary then add the prof's letter as an up date to my AACOMAS app later? I know schools won't look at letters anyway until after secondaries are sent so I just want to get my primary in so I can get those secondaries as soon as possible. Also, I dont want to have to send a letter of rec from interfolio to like 20 schools and pay for each.

i applied last year when the system was new. I was able to add letters after submitting without any problems. We did not have to wait for the Appilication Update period. This page seems to confirm that it's still the way it works.
