"AACOMAS will begin accepting submitted applications on June 1, 2014 at noon Eastern Time. Please return on or after that date to submit your application."

If you try to submit your app right now the above pops up. I thought it was June 3rd?!
 
There are a few forum members that called/e-mailed and were told that it is June 3rd. Guess not all the information was changed to reflect it.
 
Same thing happened last year, I believe even when the "submit" button came up a few days early, it told us we had to wait for the real date.

He's not joking, I just logged in and I was able to click on "pay and submit" and it brought me to a Certification statement page.


Edit: I went ahead and paid, then submitted. So much money. I've got three green check marks, the payment is showing up as temporary on my credit card, and I've got receipts showing up next to each school I applied at.

Look at your keyboard for a button that says "ins prt sc", push button when viewing what you want others to see. Go to paint or anything like it on your computer, hit Ctrl V to paste it, then save, and upload it to an image hosting website.

What?? It is already open!? They told me June 3rd. Wtf...aacomas is terrible
 
There might be a glitch that AACOMAS may have to fix. They just sent me an e-mail saying "Your application for the 2014 application cycle has been received." Yes, 2014, not 2015. I'm not going to worry that my application may be held up, I imagine AACOMAS will fix it on their end.
 
Yea I'm waiting until June 3rd... Two days isn't going to make a difference and isn't worth the stress of dealing with whether or not it was submitted for this cycle and such. They will have figured out everything by June 3rd, seeing as that is the date that aacomas is assuming it is open (at least from emails I as well as others have received).

Yes, just submitted 🙂. overall AACOMAS was way more user friendly and easy to handle the abhorrent over-regulated mess that is AMCAS (they seriously expect me to add contact info from activities 4+ years ago.). AMCAS should take notes.

I got the 2014 cycle comment too....should we be worried?? I don't want to pay again!!
 
I thought the app was closed for last year by now. I submitted mine too. I think we are good.
 
When you open AACOMAS, on the home page, above your list of schools is the "AACOMAS Application for 2015" message. It was in the confirmation E-mail, telling us it is for the 2014 cycle. I think the autoamtic E-mail is simply outdated.

After all, those that tried to submit earlier were given a message to come back on June 1st; they were not even able to apply at all until today.
 
AMCAS is June 3rd.

I'm surprised this many people were offset by that rep. Maybe they did it on purpose?

How many schools did everyone apply to? I chose 10.

I applied to 13. I really don't want to have to apply again lol. My list is a little top heavy for my stats, but I figure if I don't get any responses before the end of August, I'll just shoot out a few more apps.

As difficult as it is, my gut is telling me to do that as well. The last thing I want is to lose my fee waivers because AACOMAS messed up.

exactly... Its two days, it just doesn't seem worth it. Those two days will not change out competitiveness at all. Two months, absolutely... But two days? Nah

You can call tomorrow and ask. If they tell you it's open, then go ahead and apply tomorrow rather than wait.

I went with the majority here and submitted for a few reasons, OP could not submit earlier than noon eastern today, and we are in the 2015 application.
 
I paid and submitted today too, same thing 2014 came up in the auto email. Hopefully not a big deal, im a litte worried the apps wont process with everyone elses though :/

I will call tomorrow and report back to verify for everybody. It's a weekend so nothing will happen today anyways. I would not worry about it.
 
Well, I just submitted. And considering I submitted one last cycle too, I doubt they would let me submit for 2014 again. The "2014" must have been a typo, or this is all a mistake.
 
I never received an email after I submitted. It says I'm submitted on my account but I never received email confirmation, was I supposed to? My receipt is available as well on the application and my credit card was charged.

Had the same thing happen here. I'm not super worried about it atm.

You need to realize there is absolutely ZERO difference between an early June and late June submission. You'll still be applicable for first day invites.
