I'm still writing my personal statement and was going to get it finished by Friday so I could submit...but do you think it would be okay to take a little more time on it and submit late June?

The DO cycle is longer. Take the time to do your personal statement well.

As long as it is done by the end of June, you are still very very early. If you look at SDN as an example, then everyone is trying to overachieve (which is totally fine). But most of the normal population applies much later, its insane. Heck I am the first in my school to have ever applied before July. They had to make some crazy exemption to write my committee letter early, because they were so used to writing them in september and october haha... so yea, June is totally fine.
 
Just tried to submit my app and it said that it would not be open until tomorrow. Guess tomorrow is still the official start date.

totally agreed. but if it helps to send it in now, I say go for it! I submitted my app earlier today just because I felt like there was such a huge build up, and I just wanted to get it in so I wouldn't stress about it!

submitted. The 2014 thing is def a typo. Anyways, so I'm wondering about the next steps... my application status says verified already under ACCOMAS Status on right hand side of the main menu. Will I see dates next to schools eventually? When should I be calling ACCOMAS to make sure they got everything?

Mine shows that as well. I would probably give them at least 3 weeks right?
 
Just got a response back to my e-mail inquiry for the early submissions. Yes, we did submit for the 2015 cycle.
 
I called today and they said it was just a glitch in thier system. And that everyone who applied early (prior to the 3rd), thier app will actually be processed and submitted on the 3rd. I also asked them to confirm my application was submitted to them and they said it was.
Also the emails said 2014 because they were supposed to update them on the 3rd. Everything is ok

Mine is verified now too! Give it some time to be sent off, and we will see the dates next to schools meaning it was sent off.

Yes. There is no rush. I was complete at the end of July and was still in the first batch of interview invites.

1 being only 1 school and high risk/reward to 16 being low risk.

I am also confused by this because they said 3-6 weeks to verify and getting verified in less than 48 hours is suspicious
 
My app has actually said it was verified for a couple weeks now. It was odd, I couldn't go back and change my grades or anything, but everything was all complete. My last transcript was received 5/15. I don't know if this is an error or I'm actually verified.

How has it been verified for a couple weeks if we were only allowed to submit apps just yesterday?

I don't know. I just checked my AACOMAS app one day and my status had changed to say "Current: verified". I went to the colleges and coursework tab and the format of my grade listing had changed and there was no longer and option to add anymore coursework.

I am not sure how that works, but mine says verified and I haven't submitted it yet. I can't change grades either. My transcripts were in on 5/15/14.
 
I can't change my grades but mine just says "current: processing"
 
I believe that they start processing some transcripts early just to get ahead before the rush in June/July. This happened to some people last year too. No worries guys.
 
For those with verified status, do you see your GPA listed anywhere? I was curious if anything changed after they verified.

My application says verified, and I have looked around, but I don't see my GPA. I don't think anything has changed after verification 🙁

Once your application is sent out to schools you will be able to see a copy of it on the main page. It will contain a detailed breakdown of your GPA.

My app also says verified and I cannot change my courses as well. They must has started to verify the transcript before the app opened to submit

No gpa posted anywhere I use to be able to see it before now with being verified I cannot. After we see submissions to school dates in the main menu we may be able to see the new application verified copy?

I was just verified today and I applied June 1st. MCAT and Transcripts were on file from last year's cycle.
 
Okay, guys I am freaking out! I submitted and paid for my app yesterday and got a confirmation e-mail saying: "Your application for the 2014 application cycle has been received. " 2014?? Isn't it supposed to be 2015? Also, everyone around is saying there application is verified! My transcripts were received 25 days ago and I am still Current: processing. Also, I cannot make any changes when I press " colleges and coursework". 🙁 Sooo confused

I am still waiting and can't make changes either I had the email and called they said it was for 2015
 
It's a typo, calm down. Also, this issue has already been asked and addressed in this thread.

Oh, I see the misunderstanding.

"The question was asked and addressed" means "the question has been asked and someone has addressed (aka answered) the question".
Not "the question was asked and someone fixed the email".
