So I took a chemistry course offered by the chemistry department (that also fulfills a minor/major requirement). The class is titled CHEM 101: XXX on my transcript, but the XXX is a decidedly "non-science" term.

Will this class be classified as chemistry by AACOMAS?

My sGPA (based on my own calculations) right now is between 3.25 and 3.3. I don't have any grade replacement.

I really need all those courses to count!

When you input your grade, you can code it as a science course. Verification of the course as a chemistry course might depend on whether the course description of the CHEM 101 is science-based.

Also, maybe you can try to contact AACOM for a more accurate answer?

Thanks.

I've heard that as long as the course is offered from the biology or chemistry department, then it will be categorized as a biology/chemistry course?

Thanks.

Yes, that's my understanding, too. You have a strong chance that it'll be classified as a chem course.
