Hello. I have a question about Science GPA calculation for DO schools.
I know we are guided by this classification: AACOMAS Course Subjects
While some classes are straight forward science, some are not so much. They are also much easier. Good examples would be Nutrition, Public Health, Geology, etc. However, it appears that they still fall into science GPA calculation group (called Other Sciences). Do I understand it correctly that basically Public Health class has the same effect on science GPA as Organic Chemistry class? I understand that AdComs may (and will) look further than just the number and analyze it, but in terms of initial filter, is my understanding correct? So, to bump up science GPA one can take easier classes that fall into Other Sciences category?
