Hey guys, so I am getting everything ready to apply for the next coming cycle in August, and today I registered a test account to see what's exactly in the AACPMAS. However I didn't find any information regarding the LORs. My understanding is that they are two separate processes? My situation now is that the pre-health committee at my school won't write a committee letter until my MCAT score is in (assume mid-August). I was originally worried that I won't be able to send my application unless I have my committee letter. But it seems that I can send my application first, then wait for my committee letter? As for the LOR from the podiatrist, does that directly go to the pre-health committee or goes to each individual school? Because the pre-health committee at my school uses Virtual Eval, so I guess it's like a e-folder with all the recommendations in it?

Thanks a lot! 😎

Side note: What??? I can do that?? Did you use fake credentials? If you used your real name, will you look like a re-applicant? Maybe the schools determine that and not AACPMAS, but if you could give me some insight I'd appreciate it.

u mean the test account? I just registered "testaccount", and fill in John Smith~ lol my premed advisor told me to do this, apparently there's a bunch of those test accounts set up for MD/DO applications.

Brilliant

I made an account with ACCPMAS and started putting my application together to apply this cycle but then decided to hold off until August for the next cycle. As long as you don't submit you should be fine since I believe the application resets along with all the information you put in between each cycle.

Dang... I'm just not as clever as you guys....

But for your initial question, It depends on the pod school but some take virtual eval, others E-LOR. It should say on each pod school website I think, or in the pod school book I linked to a few days ago on a different thread (if you read it).

Problem Solved. I asked my pre-health advisor about this, so basically all letters will go directly to the pre-health committee at the institution, they will then put everything in Virtual Evals (or interfolio), and send them to the schools you will be applying to. Therefore the DPM's letter will also be sent to the committee, not to pod schools, if your institution has a committee and offers e-LOR service.

Unlike MD/DO apps, there is nothing in the application that asks for LORs contact information and such, so I guess I can just submit my application first with a pending MCAT score and a pending committee letter, since it takes weeks for AACPMAS to verify my transcript. By the time it's done I should have my committee letter and MCAT score already.
