AADSAS Academic Update
Started by drm85
Same here. Just had my transcripts sent from my school.
I have been to lazy to go on and figure it out but is it as simple as putting in grades for fall, adding classes for spring, and sending a transcript? Is there a transcript matching form that has to be sent (like when we sent it to AADSAS initially)?
Thanks

should i do the academic update or just let it slide and wait till after the 15th?
If your grades are good, why not just do it now? It takes like 2 weeks for it to process anyway.
So if we are already accepted and deposit paid, do we need to do all the updates and stuff?
I know that a lot of my friends have just faxed or emailed their report card directly to admissions saving time and most importantly, money. It just seems silly to pay for a transcript to be sent of just one class, 3 times--one for each quarter.

I have been accepted and have paid my deposit already also and I called the school and they told me to do the aadsas update as well as sending in my updated transcripts to them. So I just did it

OK thanks...so did you send transcripts to AADSAS and the dental school, or just AADSAS? I know it's like 15 bucks were talking here, but just curious.
Out of the better safe than sorry idea I sent to both aadsas and the school.
if your grade isn't as good as expected.....should you still do an academic update or just wait........?
i did my AU but still haven't seen anything on my application. i don't know how long will it take
i sent in transcripts just before christmas and i just got my gpa updated 🙂 according to the email, it will take a week for your schools to get it
Yeah, I sent mine out near the end of Dec and got my gpa recalculated yesterday.
Shouldn't we wait until the spring semester is over to do the update? I was going to do it for this past semester, but I got a pop-up that said if I update now, I can't update it again, which means I obviously can't do it for the spring.
Oh okay, thanks. Yeah I did very well. I didn't esubmit it yet, but I updated it. I guess I should go ahead and submit. Thanks! The window closes for the update in February, which will be before the end of spring semester for most people. If you did well during the fall, then update it now, otherwise I would not update.
Do we actually have to get another transcript sent from the school to AADSAS, and only then will they recalculate and notify the schools, or is the academic update on the AADSAS app considered the "new transcript" ?

your input + your fall transcript = aadsas verifies it and then sends it out.
i dont think they would trust only our update 😀

Ha, I didn't think of it like that. Good point
i was wondering what happens if i dont take the classes that i put as planned for spring semester.
i already been accepted, i have my bs, and i have all my pre-reqs. i was gonna take them to help my app but since im already in i would rather work to save money.
does anyone know if they can revoke ur acceptance for not taking a planned class?

Question-
I've already submitted my application for 2016/17 cycle, but having some second thoughts about my course schedule for my senior year. Am I allowed to change my schedule, or will this mess up everything when I enter my academic update after the fall semester is over? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks 🙂
