AADSAS Activities

[So...Paradox]

My fiancee is applying to dental school and we're working on her AADSAS. My feeling is that she should try to make her activity descriptions sound compelling. So, in general, do people just list and explain what they did, or do you try to give something more insightful about what you gained from it? I can't believe they limit these things to only 170 characters! Example descriptions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help guys.

I just said what activities I did, not their implications. I saved that for the PS and supplemental essays. 175 characters is ridiculous, its about as long as this post.
