I tried searching for any similar thread with my situation between study breaks of AP Cliff and my gen chem notecards, and no luck. So I'll try to keep my unique situation short.

I'm scheduling my DAT later today when I wake up. I'm not holding my breath on finding an open date before June 3rd, but have a feeling I will find one early June :xf:

I just had a meeting with one of the admissions people at one of the DS I'm applying to, and she strictly told me to apply early early early and try to get into the first batch.

Nowregarding my sitation I have a few questions:

1. If I was to take the DAT after June 3rd, would that mean I wouldn't be able to submit my AADSAS without my DAT score?

2. My LORs are with my school committee. However, I can't be evaluated by them because my DAT score is required, so I can't be evaluated until after they receive it. Does that mean I will be applying much later since the committee has everything important to my application process?

3. Based on this unique situation, what will be the best option(s) available?

Oh yea, and the admissions said they would rather see a complete application than parts missing from it. I need advice and help. It would be much appreciated 🙁

Regarding #2, check my most recent thread. My committee had all my letters, but I won't be going through the review process. hopefully they will be sent in hitch-free.

Just submit after taking your Dat assuming you can get a date in June. Consider going to another city if you have to. Also keep checking constantly as people frequently cancel a couple days before their exam. I really do not think being in first batch is essential. Any submit date in June should be early enough.

I made the decision to not apply until after getting my DAT score. 16th batch. It def hurt my chances and I'm on a bunch of WLs, but I didn't want to apply without knowing my score.

GL!

You can submit your application without letters and DAT scores. I would submit the first week it opens because GPA calculations take about a month and it only takes about a week for your DAT scores. LORs are received instantly if e-submitted.

GPA calculations take a month for AADSAS to verify?

roquer2,

I would submit the application and if possible get the committee letters at the same time right when the application date starts. I talked to an admission counselor at one of the dental schools and she said the AASDAS application takes a while to process but the DAT scores should take no more than 2 weeks at the latest to process. and I have also heard that the application takes a long time to process bc of grade verification.

good luck on the DAT
