Guys, I have a question. I am really running late with this whole process because I took the DAT just recently and was stupid enough to not look into the application process before hand. Now I see that I am pretty late compaired to others.

Heres the thing.. I am interested in applying to the houston 3 but also want to apply to NYU and Stony Brook. I am a texas resident.

So how do I go about doing this? Am I forced to use the TMDSAS for the texas schools if i am a resident? Seems really crappy if I have to fill out TMDSAS and AADSAS... considering AADSAS is extremely expensive for the first school.

Would it be a problem if i just send the AADSAS application to all 5 schools?


and by the way, my science GPA is around 3.0 or little below and my overall is 3.25 as of now. I did get a 24 AA and 24 total science on DAT. Havnt got around to doing LOR yet... What do you think my chances are?

Without having a LOR yet, and not submitting your transcripts and such to AADSAS . . . I would say not good for this year. AADSAS will take a a few weeks after you finally submit all your stuff. The worst part is that you don't have any LORs yet. I guess it depends on how quickly you can get them. Are you just going to ask the people to write them within a week or something? That would be really short notice. With a 24, however, I'd say don't give up on next year.

darn... I dont know why I was under the impression I still had time haha.. I was just putting off everything and studying for DAT like my life depended on it.

How about TMDSAS though? Their deadline is oct. 15. Im thinking if I can just get he LOR in time, maybe I might have a chance?

Well, if it comes down to it, I guess I can wait a year or something...
Is it really bad if you take a year off after college prior to Dental school?

You are late, but I think you can still have a shot applying. Getting LORs on short notice may be kinda tricky though.
