AADSAS not sending transcripts to schools?!

I just got a letter from U Michigan saying they were missing a transcript, I called and they told me AADSAS no longer sends them transcripts, therefore I have to do it myself. My account on AADSAS says printout mailed aug 4, revisions aug 12. I then asked if AADSAS sends transcripts to other schools and she simply said she can't speak for other schools. Has anyone else heard of this? So basically we pay AADSAS like 100/per school and they dont even send transcripts? Just thought this was odd though, no other school has told me something like this, though I guess now I should call to be sure.

We basically pay AADSAS to be a useless middle-man... because we end up having to resend everything ourselves anyhow.. I'd rather just do it myself in the first place and save the $75 a school... What do we get for our $75 anyhow?? A few photocopies?? I'd rather have the money and send the papers myself.. atleast I would know when it's gonna be sent out.. Seriously, for what we pay AADSAS, and for what they actually do.. they should be ON TOP of their game.. have things calculated and sent out the next day.... My CHECK got cashed the next day... but my application has been sitting there for 5 weeks...

I called the schools a couple of days ago and they said that it is in the best interest of the student to send transcripts to the schools again, eventhough we have to submit them to the AADSAS too. So the next thing i did was to send official transcripts to all the schools just to be sure that I am on the safer side even though AADSAS I paid so many $$$ for nothing. Better to shell out a couple of extra bucks than to be sorry when it is too late.

Yeap.. I just confirmed it also.. AADSAS is no longer forwarding transcripts to schools as of the 2006 entering cycle... better send out those new official transcripts soon!

Are you guys saying that you have to request 10 official transcripts (assuming you applied to 10 schools) from your university and mail them to the schools yourself? Isn't AADSAS starting to make themselves obsolete? Freaking *****s. What a waste of money.

Only send it to the schools that request it...
