And the screwing begins...

So I received my cute, pink AADSAS application confirmation copy TODAY. Everything looked okay. My units all added up, my AP units from high school was there and all was good with the world. Then I looked at my "Course Work Report" and they only had my senior year classes/grades. I went back to my AADSAS online application and noted all the courses were there and all my units added up to the pink confirmation copy. So the only problem is that I'm missing 4 years of courses under "Course Work Report" on the pink confirmation. After reading about how I could correct the issue, I noticed that AADSAS requires all corrections within 14 days of the transmitted date. The only date that I see on my confirmation is 6/22/2004 (minus the "date received"). So its too late to turn in corrections [explitive, explitive, childish insult].

Did this happen to anyone else? I'm planning on waking up butt-early tomorrow morning to call AADSAS. But in the meantime, I'd appreciate any feedback and advice. Also, is there any other number I can call besides the 800 number?

Thanks for your help! :scared:

You can also try this number: (202)667-1887

Hope everything works out!

you are FU%!ED

Same thing happened to me. Took a little over 5 months to correct since it took them THREE TIMES TO FIX IT!!!

Make sure you have them write a letter to the schools explaining it is their fault and not yours...they atleast did that for me and I didn't even suggest it.

Yeah. So I called AADSAS and they told me to just send in the corrections as they sent me my confirmation 14 days after the date generated.

Then I called all 8 dental schools. Most of them were reassuring as I should "look on the bright side" since I applied early and can probably make it before their respective deadlines. But of course, UMich wasn't so friendly; they told me that they had students in the past with the same issue and as a result, did not get into UMich. Whatta bummer. I heard Ann Arbor is kinda pretty...

So here's what I did...in chronological order: 1) Express mailed my corrections (kinda dumb considering they're not even open on Saturday). 2) Ordered transcripts and will send these transcripts and a copy of my AADSAS online course work to each school.

If anyone has any additional suggestions, I'd be happy to read them. Thanks!

I am glad to know that things worked out for the better, though I am sure you wish your hard work in battling AADSAS had generated the results. Do keep us informed about Monday's phonecall. Then again they might just loose your area code...

I recently had similar experience with the AADSAS correction form. I mailed it out on early July, and they are still trying to enter the corrections on to my AADSAS form. I agree, some schools refused to review my application until they hear from AADSAS. I too have to keep calling them regularly to check how far they have gone with the update.

Hang in there.

Mo007,

Could you tell me which schools are waiting for your corrections to be made before reviewing your application? I know that Ohio State waits.

Thanks
