I just took AAMC test # 1 and scored:

61 out of 77 in PS
61 our of 77 in BS
51 out of 65 in VR

What are the corresponding 1-15 scores?

I know the AAMC website has the score ranges for 3-6 but not for one or two.

Also for those of you that have taken AAMC # 1, did you find the BS section a lot harder? For me it was at a comprelte different level of difficulty (much higher) than test 3-6.

Thank you once again.

I just took AAMC test # 1 and scored:

61 out of 77 in PS = 6
61 our of 77 in BS = 7
51 out of 65 in VR = 4-5

Seriously, does it matter? Do your best on the aamc #1. Use your mistakes to help you learn. When (if you haven't already) you take aamc #'s 3, 4, 5, you can get a better feel for where you are. Your raw scores are solid. If you took the test under approximately the same conditions as the real mcat, you'll be fine.

I haven't taken test#1, nor do I have the score conversion, but I think the reason AAMC doesn't have it up is because this test is useless for preperation. After they revised the test, they came out with 3R-7R, and anything besides those is not representative to whats on the real deal. You should forget about this test adn take 3R to get a basic idea of where you stand.

For the love of God..... :laugh:

Even if this test is worthless and outdated and me finding out what my score in this test will not affect my real MCAT score I still (do to my curious nature) want to know what these scores represent on a 1-15 scale.

Any good souls out there?

I don't even know who would have the score scale for it because nobody takes it. Kaplan has the test, but I'm not even sure they let you score it. But I will go look for you and see if I can find it.

I can help you with 2.

PS = 12
BS = 12
VR = 6

Those sciences are awesome. My key here says that in PS 61-77 is considered 12+ and for bio 67-77 is also 12+. So take that for what you will.

It is not advised to take AAMC #1 or #2 as the format has changed considerably since when they were released. This is why AAMC only sells 3R through 7 on their website. I personally found 5R, 6R, and 7 to be very very much like the real thing. You can do 1 and 2 for practice, but be aware that they are much easier and/or different than the real exam

I took aamc #1 and I thought it was good practice. :thumbup:

I'm going to be stopping by my premed library tomorrow and they have test #1, I can look at the percentiles and make a guess if you like. From the percentiles we should be able to make a rough guess at the scores.

Skiz is right, though.

AAMC I is so old, its not really of use any more. For those who haven't taken it: don't. Get 3R for free from www.e-mcat.com or from your private test prep company if they purchased the tests....:thumbup:

3R-6R are great, VII was just released, but only available from emcat.

61 out of 77 PS barely gives you an 83-89 percentile rank.

61 out of 77 BS barely gives you a 70-78 percentile rank.

51 out of 65 VR barely gives you a 45-56 percentile rank.

Based on these percentiles I would estimate you got:

10 in PS

10 in BS

8 in VR

Hope this helps.
