Hey guys, this is a limiting reagent and I get the problem right either way, but just a question about balancing equations:

The answer states:
Zn(s) + 2HCl--> ZnCl2 + H2

Is it okay to do it as:
2 Zn(s) + 2HCl--> 2 ZnCl + H2?

Again, you get the same answer both ways, but how would you know if it's ZnCl2 versus 2 ZnCl.

Thanks a lot in advance!🙂
