Hey guys sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm having trouble understanding the solution to Question 15 on the Physical Sciences section of AAMC CBT 3R. Its the free-standing question about the rectangular sheet of material. Does anyone have an easier solution to understand? Thanks!

the force to the right has to balance the two other forces. One of those forces is down (3N) and the other to the left (4N). You add those two forces as vectors, (sqrt(3^2+4^2)=5N). For the rectangle to be in translational equilibrium, the force going to the right has to balance the vector sum of the two forces given, so it has to be 5N to the right.
