I just took AAMC #7 and got what I am afraid might be an artificially inflated score... 13PS, 10V, 13BS.

I have also taken AAMC 3,4 and 5, scoring around 29,29, and 30 on each of them. PS has always been my strongest area and I have gotten 12s in the past so I am guessing that is not a fluke, but for bio I have never broken a 10, and verbal, always my weakest, is always around 8-10...

I decided to skip #6 (for now) because I thought 7-10 were supposed to be more reflective of the current test, which I certainly hope to be the case...

What have you guys found about score differences among tests? I'm guessing this was probably just a fluke for me? Thanks

Maybe, maybe not.

AAMC 7 fit right in with the rest of my scores. I am averaging about a 36, having written AAMC 4-9 so far. I hit a 37 on #7, so it is a little higher. But then I hit a 38 on #9 and a 37 on #6, so it was certainly not noticably easier for myself.

It is possible that it focused on topics that you were more confident/familiar with, but aside from that, I wouldn't say it's easier than the others.

No I don't think it is any easier than the earlier ones, I did # 3, 5, 7, 9 in that order, and I got 30, 33, 31, 32. So I think it is right around the same difficulty, but it could be that the topics on #7 bio was ur strong topics, and the verbal passages interested you, I remember those being very interesting so ya.

I dont think one test is neccessarily harder than another. Some people say 7 was the easiest...but it turned out to be my worst practice exam. Regardless, thats an excellent practice score so you must be doing something right.

The score you get is based off the curve for the MCAT that was administered that year. How can you possibly think it's easier if you're just being compared to the students who took that test? Your score isn't raw--it's scaled. Enjoy the 36. 😀

I got a 36 on aamc7 and ended up with a 34.
