Hi, I just bought all the online AAMC MCAT prep material available. What would be the best way to use them? I already finished content review.
Thanks
I haven't taken my MCAT yet (April 1st), but I will give you my opinion of the best use. First, I would say to use prep company practice passages, especially for your first and maybe second FL just so you get a feel for the timing. If you haven't taken a full length yet, you will be surprised how fast 90 minutes goes by and it would be a shame to waste an official FL by running out of time.
As for the content, I would say to use the Q-packs first, they are easiest and not that representative of the new MCAT, except for the CARS packs. Maybe save the second CARS pack for later in your studies. Then, if you haven't already, do the official guide test in the online format. Next, do section banks. They are 100 questions a piece, so you could do two of them in the same day and somewhat simulate what another FL would be like. Then save one for another day and maybe pair it up with the second CARS pack, that would be another semi-FL experience. When you get closer to your test date, take the sample test and finally take the exam scored last. This is assuming your scores on the prep company FLs aren't terrible, if they are, you need to work on improving that first.
This is my plan, I am about to start the section banks today. The only thing that might be better is to split up the section banks into halves, but I want to know my scores right after, so I won't be doing this.
