I am using the AAMC topics list to study materials. I am currently studying stuff from the Princeton stuff. The topics on the AAMC BS (warning PDF link) match very closely for Biology but Princeton seems to have extra stuff for organic chemistry.

The extra topics seem to be:
Substitution and Elimination Reactions (Except the one below)
Electrophilic Addition Reactions
Nucleophlic addition and Cycloaddition reactions

Also another confusing thing is that one of the topic is
Alkanes
substitution reactions with halogens, etc.
What is ETC? Cycloalkanes ?

Are these topics worth study? or Should I gloss over them? or Are they actually a subset of some the topics in the AAMC BS topics?

I am studying with some dvd's called "the gold standard" with Dr. Ferdinand as the teacher. In the back of the dvd for organic it has a list of topics supposedly not directly tested on the MCAT.
- E1
- E2
- Alkenes
- Orgo Redox reactions
- Aromatic Rings
- Elimination vs. Substitution questions
I am not sure, but if AAMC doesnt list them, they might not appear.
Have you found any more info on this topic?

If it isn't on the official list then I wouldn't worry about it. You have enough on your plate already; focus on carbonyl and amine chemistry.

I'm not sure about other "substitution and elimination reactions" but Sn1 and Sn2 are definitely fair game on the MCAT.
