Should I be worried if I am not coming up with the exact logic that the AAMC provides for each correct answer within the question bank sections despite readily getting correct answers? I seem to feel strong about my answer, I check to see if its right, then I am surprised with the 4 lined explanation they provided eve though I got it right. In my mind I am like wtf... I was not even thinking that long convoluted process in order to eliminate wrong answers.

If you're getting the correct answer and your reasoning is scientifically sound, then there's no reason for concern. It's unlikely to be just a fluke if you're getting multiple ones right.

Do the AAMC explanations help? I was told my friends that the best resources will have good explanations, that is how you learn. Do the AAMC practice materials have decent explanations? I just bought the official guide book and the explanations in the book seem pretty good. Are the online materials just as good?

Yes. In fact, by definition, the AAMC explanations are the best. Because those explanations are written by the people who write the test and thus are fully consistent with how the AAMC thinks when they write the exam.

Thank you! I guess my real question is, do they explain the wrong answers, or just the right answers? These incorrect answer explanations will be of most help to me when I am learning. Can you tell me if all the AAMC materials explain the incorrect answers, or just the correct answers?

If I remember correctly, most if not all of the answer explanations explain why the other answer choices were wrong too.
