Hello everyone, I'd just like an opinion on whether I should retake a 514 with a low PS section score. My subsection scores are 129/130/129/126. I was pretty stoked when I saw that CARS score when the scores came in, but that 126 PS kinda put a damper in my happiness. I'm a biochemistry senior in Texas who plans to take a gap year, so I want to get an opinion on whether I need to prepare for a retake this coming year. Thanks!

Haha, yeah, I tried to resist being neurotic, but I fell for the premed temptation to turn into spaghetti whenever something doesn't go to plan. I also plan to apply in TMDSAS, and I've heard that Texas schools have pretty stringent academic standards, so that really made me worry.

Thanks for the encouragement! :)

Live and let live. Unless you have reason to believe you can raise your overall score 8-10 points (so at least to a 522 minimum) a retake isn't going to be worth it, and the risk of a score near (or lower) than your current is decently high

Don't do it. This should absolutely not be on your list of concerns. You have a great score, move on.

By the way, you'll never use any of that stuff as a doctor anyway. Just be glad you passed the thing and are done with it
