Next week! For those of you that don't know, AAMC is releasing a packagae that combines AAMC1,2,6 (all retired) into 3 different packages. The PS, the BS, and the VR. Each package will have about 210 (PS/BS) questions and 120 for VR. I just called and the guy told me it should be released next week

Good luck and plan for it, this material is probably more important than any other material outside of the AAMC =]

Cool thanks for the post. For the lazies (including me) out there do you have a link to the product description? Or any other info?

How'd you find out about this product?

How useful is this going to really be though? I mean, weren't AAMCs 1, 2, and 6 taken down because they were too out of date?

In my post I said its coming out next week lol. And I don't know maybe it has other questions on it too!

Wow! Thanks for the heads up!

Does anyone know when AAMC 1, 2 were actually administered? If they were administered before 3, then I'm not quite sure it will be really representative at all. Perhaps the verbal will be worth checking out, though.

I've done AAMC 6 (paper) before, and I can understand why they cut it. It was definitely a weird exam.

Don't understand why they can't just release a new AAMC 12.

I'm definitely going to get it, and yeah the verbal should be the best from it.

I'll let you guys know how it is, though I imagine I'll be doing those problems in the last 2 weeks

Agreed. What about the revised portions of some of the exams? I think 8 and maybe 9 (or even 10) were revised to fit into the shortened test administration time (a cut of a few passages I think).

What about all those questions? Surely those would be more representative than tests that were administered so long ago as to be considered outdated.

I think they are, the VR has 120 questions / 40 = 3. AAMC1,2,6 all together have more than 120 questions. it seems like they've fit them to the current format

Its out guys! NOTE! I have AAMC1 AND 2 and I looked at a VR from aamc 1 and it was nothing like the mcat, didnt't really have any ideas, read like a story for comprehension

I took a look at VR, and it looks VERY similar, I didn't get time to do any passages BUT the questions look good. I think this package MIGHT have material OTHER than aamc 1 and 2 and 6

I don't want to start a whole new thread just for this question and I have a feeling the people in this thread know the answer to this. ..Or at least have an informed opinion.

If I'm going to buy AAMC practice tests, which ones should I go with?

Question for the guys who have it - can you do them just like a real CBT (i.e. can you choose to do AAMC1, then 2, then 6) and also get your scores? Or are they just separate questions?

Also how close is are the sections to the latest AAMCs?

Many thanks.

Know you cannot do them as full CBT's, you can also do it only once too. I think the way it works is each package has a crapton of passage/questions. Once you finish the ENTIRE thing it will show you your results etc. I don't think you can even grade until you finish. I bought all the packages but I won't be doin g them for a couple more weeks. I'm going to finish the TPRH SWB first. then do the package, then do my last 4 aamc.

I recommend you buy ALL AAMC MATERIAL, the package, tests 3-11, and the aamc guide

Thanks for the info. It's out now right?
Does anyone know what the results entail? Like what kind of feedback do we get after you finish it?

It came out today, so i don't think anyone will have completed it eyt since each section takes 3-4 hours just to do

Oh I didn't realize it came out today. Hopefully people will report their experience with the assessment and tell us what kind of feedback they receive and how detailed it is.

Whoa...so you gotta do 21 verbal passages in ONE SITTING for it to give you the results/answer explanations? You can't just take a few, pause, and come back to it later?
