Hi,

This is for Medical students who took Stafford subsidized and unsubsidized loans via AAMC sponsored loan provider in 2006, 2007, or 2008 when the program was offered.

Are you getting the listed benefits that could reduce the repayment interest by as much as 2.05%, while in repayment. Is Sallie May, the loan servicer, providing the benefits that were promised in 2007 while taking out the loan. It seems from 2009 the plan was discontinued based on new regulations and direct loans were provided from dept of education.

Any one with information please add your input or IM me. Thanks.

I consolodated w/Medloans in 2006, through SallieMae. I have received two of the benefits (a 1% loan credit after 3 ontime payments, I believe; and a 0.25% interest rate reduction for enrolling in autopay) I still await a third benefit (1% interst rate reduction after 2 years of on time payments, which will take me to 2.25% interest rate) I hate Sallie Mae but it's a pretty good set of benefits.
