Hey everyone! For those of you who have taken AAMC VITA, how was your experience like? Any specific tips you would suggest, and are there any other practice questions besides the AAMC practice to help prepare? Thank you in advance!

There are plenty of threads and posts about this already on SDN. You will be able to find valuable info if you search the forums. Anyways, my experience with VITA is that it needs no prep other than the practice (do it like a couple of times), and just have some basic MMI style answers ready - like ethics etc. Good luck to you.

Hello! Do we know if we are recorded during the 60 second "read and reflect" and more importantly if schools see this? Based on the description of Vita where it says "Six questions are presented in text prompts, and applicants record an audio/video response; there is no human interviewer. You will have one minute to read and reflect on each written question and up to three minutes to record a response." I am assuming no? I am asking because even though I told my parents SEVERAL TIMES to not come into my room, my dad walked in during the read and reflect and he was not understanding my hand gestures and I had to tell him sternly to please get out lol....obviously, i do not want schools to see this.

I am pretty sure it is not recorded during that time. Even if it was, they understand inadvertent interruptions.

Yea, I read through the manual, and based on this quote from it "Medical schools that select you to complete the AAMC VITA interview will have access to your video responses and an opportunity to evaluate your responses using their own school-specific processes.", only the video responses are recorded and then made available to the schools, thank god.
