I know this is a newbie question, but what specialties do "ortho" and "ent" stand for? How competitive are these specialties?

Ortho = Orthopedic Surgery
ENT = Ear, Nose, and Throat (to avoid having to repeatedly say "otolaryngology")

They're both pretty competitive (ortho more than ENT?)
