Hey,
So a CT of an AAA can show an outer dilated calcified aortic wall (calcification of thrombus more specifically) with crescent-shaped non-opacification of aorta due to "flap/clot". What is meant by "flap" in this case?
I don't understand how the clot is involved in the translucency either - we just stated that it's calcificed and thus should be opaque, how can it then cause the non-opacification?
